It was easy to recognize
you were special:
the mystery in you
deep-ocean-lived
muffled
in the dark,
with hands in
pockets whistling
fits of fantasy and starts thinking of
making mistakes,
always late,
you live-to-party,
misplacing things,
the rain fluttering around
light-and-thunder
absentminded philosophy,
you drove me...
strange tricks,
refused my...
forgetful.
Can you imagine?
I looked everywhere among
the pigeons with
newspapers
in their laps
for sunshining,
for someone who wanted me
legs-short
take-a-stroll
practice-my-breathing
walking-on-buildings
no-one-can-beat-me.
I have to go
get some sun
and that's all
there is to it
but how was I
without you?
